Sunshine & Ice Covered Landscapes

Man, the light was incredible. Like seriously, it blew my mind. The ice from last night’s freezing rain still coated the treetops and landscapes, and the golden hour sun sparkled across the terrain as I gazed through the viewfinder. Things looked spectacular in every direction I looked. The light fall is harsh, giving excellent colours through the 100-400mm Sigma lens in these conditions. The ice offers lots of beautiful bokah sparkles to the photo backgrounds. The air temperature is pleasant, and it feels great to be out taking photographs and enjoying what mother nature has given us.

I pulled off Highway 2 between Brighton, ON and Trenton, ON and captured some landscapes. Here’s a gallery of my favourite photos from this evening. I hope you enjoy the gallery.
